Born in the middle of Southern Spain, he started his music studies in violin, saxophone and later, double bass. He quickly finished his “Medium Degree” in this instrument at Cordoba Superior Music Conservatory. After that, he successfully received admission as a double bass student at the Royal Academy of Music, University of London, where he accomplished a “Bachelor of Music” (BMus). In the Royal Academy, he also enhanced his musical education by receiving lessons in composition, singing, recording and conducting. He also achieved a “Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music” (LRAM) as a double bass teacher, which allowed him to work at the Junior Academy of the same institution for two years. During this period, he was rewarded with the “Mortimer Award” Friends of the Royal Academy of Music price (UK), and he received scholarships from “Asociación de Artistas y Ejecutantes”, “Diputación de Córdoba” and “Junta de Andalucía” (Spain).

Carrying on with his academic studies, he got a master degree in Music Therapy, as well as a diploma in Specialist of Benenzon Model regarding non-verbal and music therapies.

As a performer, he has had the chance of playing around Europe and Asia. Venues to highlight are Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Royal Albert Hall in the Proms Festival and Wigmore Hall (London), Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt and Deutche Staatsoper (Berlin), Warsaw Philarmonic (Warsaw), Palais des Congrés (European Parlament, Strasbourg) or Dalia Theatre (Tokyo). He has played under the baton of Sir Colin Davis and Daniel Baremboim among many other conductors. He took part in a tour with Sir Elton John in the UK and has worked with the Spanish National Orchestra and Pablo Sarasate Orchestra as well as many other big orchestras within Spain.

In the teaching field, he was appointed Double Bass Professor in Seville Superior Conservatory. Then, he went through the Spanish Government competitive exams to became a civil servant teacher of double bass, and he was given a vacancy in Lucena Professional Conservatory. He created there “MusIntégrate”, a pioneer project in the Andalusian region consisting in facilitating and integrating the public musical education to special needs students.

Regarding his compositions, he has made music for short films, documentaries, chamber music groups, choirs, string orchestras and productions in electro-acustic, ethnic and synthesized music. His works have being premiered in Spain, the United Kingdom, Finland, Sweden and France.

At the present time, his activities include music teaching, clinic music therapy treatments, composing, performing and running an organic olive oil farm.
